Wynn Resorts has recently shared exciting details and visuals of its inaugural beachfront resort, Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This marks Wynn’s first venture into beachfront luxury and is poised to become the first integrated gaming resort in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Set on the scenic Al Marjan Island along the Arabian Gulf, the resort is a collaborative effort between Wynn, Marjan, and RAK Hospitality Holding. Construction began in early 2023, with an anticipated public opening in early 2027. Overseeing the design and development is Wynn Design and Development, which employs a skilled team of over 90 architects, designers, and creative experts who are also behind the design of all Wynn’s gaming resorts.
Todd Lenahan, Wynn’s Chief Creative Officer, explained the architectural inspiration, noting, “Historically, Ras Al Khaimah has served as a critical navigational point and trade landmark on the Arabian Gulf. The new 300-meter-tall resort tower is designed to echo this historic role, aiming to become a modern beacon for global travelers.”
Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to offer luxury on a grand scale with 1,542 rooms and suites, including 22 exclusive Villa Estates adjacent to a newly designed marina. The resort will feature an elaborate poolscape by the beach, complete with multiple swimming pools, wading areas, water features, private cabanas, and lush tropical landscaping.
Additionally, guests will enjoy a diverse range of dining, lounge, and bar experiences across 22 unique venues, all boasting stunning views of the beach and pool areas. Entertainment will also be top-tier, with a theater hosting production shows. For shopping enthusiasts, the resort will house a 15,000-square-meter shopping esplanade filled with high-end boutiques.
The property is also designed to cater to large-scale events, featuring a 7,500-square-meter meetings and events center capable of accommodating everything from corporate meetings and conventions to grand celebrations. With its strategic location and luxurious offerings, Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to redefine luxury travel in the region.
