Sirius India Airlines Launches with UAE Partnership to Bring Luxury Private Air Travel to India

Sirius India Airlines Pvt. Ltd, a new venture established by the spouses of two former SpiceJet executives, has announced a partnership with UAE-based Airavat Aviation to introduce a luxury private air travel brand in India. The startup, which emerged following the resignation of the SpiceJet executives due to conflict-of-interest concerns, will begin operations with a Hawker 4000 aircraft, aiming to expand its fleet to three by the end of 2024.

The joint venture between Sirius India Airlines and Airavat Aviation plans to cater to the high-end market segment by offering charter services and fractional ownership both in India and internationally. Initially reported by ch-aviation in October 2023, the company was founded by Meenakshi Kashyap and Ajay Bhatia, who are closely linked to former senior officials at SpiceJet.

With ambitious growth plans, Sirius India Airlines intends to broaden its fleet to include up to twelve aircraft by the end of 2025, ranging from nine-seaters to 100-seaters, to meet diverse customer needs. This strategic expansion aims to capitalize on the growing demand for personalized and luxury air travel options in the region.

Airavat Aviation, part of the Dubai-based Transworld Group, only recently entered the private air travel market in 2023 and currently operates at least two Hawker 4000s. This partnership marks a significant step for both companies as they look to establish a strong foothold in the luxury air travel market in India.
