Norwegian Cruise Line is gearing up to launch an exceptional new addition to its fleet in 2025—the Norwegian Aqua. This state-of-the-art ship is set to redefine onboard entertainment and dining with its innovative amenities, including a hybrid roller coaster water slide, a glow-in-the-dark basketball court, and the company’s first all-vegetarian restaurant.

The Norwegian Aqua promises an unparalleled experience for more than 3,500 passengers with its first sailing scheduled for April 2025. The ship will visit destinations such as Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. Among its most talked-about features are expansive outdoor spaces, the Aqua Slidecoaster, pools for kids and adults, and luxurious three-bedroom duplex Haven Suites.

A highlight of the Norwegian Aqua is its dining offerings, particularly the introduction of Planterie, located in the Indulge Food Hall on deck eight. Planterie marks Norwegian Cruise Line’s first venture into fully plant-based dining, offering a menu that includes dishes like the Southwest Bowl with smoked tempeh and the Mediterranean Goddess Bowl filled with spiced vegetables and honey-roasted carrots. This eatery reflects the cruise line’s commitment to expanding its food and beverage program with innovative concepts and diverse culinary options.

Additionally, the ship will feature two other new dining concepts: Sukhothai, the line’s first-ever Thai restaurant, and Swirl Wine Bar. Swirl Wine Bar, situated on deck six, will offer a sophisticated setting with a wine-by-the-glass menu that includes both rare and premium vintages, positioned next to the Whiskey Bar for those who might prefer a different kind of spirited experience.

Designed by the New York-based Rockwell Group, the Indulge Food Hall showcases an elegant interior with gold and metal furnishings against deep wood accents, providing a compelling alternative to dining al fresco.

With these additions, Norwegian Aqua not only aims to cater to the culinary tastes of its guests but also sets a new standard for luxury and entertainment at sea. The launch of Norwegian Aqua is eagerly anticipated by travelers looking to enjoy these innovative features and dining experiences firsthand during its inaugural sailings.
