Heron Aviation Expands Fleet with Inaugural Falcon 8X in Germany

Heron Aviation, based in Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, has enhanced its fleet by incorporating its first Dassault Falcon 8X, marked with registration D-ALDG. This addition underscores the German charter operator’s commitment to expanding its high-end aviation services.

The Falcon 8X, known for its advanced range and capacity, can accommodate up to 13 passengers. It will be stationed at Heron’s base in Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, serving as a strategic asset for long-range missions. This aircraft is the fourth from Dassault Aviation in Heron’s collection, complementing two Falcon 900EXs and one Falcon 900LX already in operation.

Iris Baumle, Sales and Marketing Manager at Heron Aviation, highlighted the strategic decision behind selecting the Falcon 8X: “We decided to purchase the Falcon 8X because we can benefit from our experience with Dassault Falcon aircraft.” This choice reflects Heron’s focus on leveraging its expertise in managing and operating Dassault’s prestigious line of jets.

Besides the Falcon aircraft, Heron Aviation’s diverse fleet includes a variety of models tailored to different client needs: one Embraer E145, one Cessna 560 Citation XLS+, two Cessna 510 Mustangs registered in Spain, one Cessna 525 Citation, one Cessna 525 Citation M2, and one Learjet 60. This acquisition not only enhances Heron’s operational capabilities but also strengthens its position in the competitive European business aviation market.
