Georgian Airways, the flagship carrier based in Tbilisi, has broadened its executive fleet by incorporating its very first Bombardier Aerospace Global 6000, registered as 4L-GTG (msn 9661). This strategic acquisition marks a significant enhancement to the airline’s luxury travel offerings, reflecting its commitment to catering to the high-end travel market.

Before being acquired by Georgian Airways in January of this year, the 14-seater executive jet was part of Qatar Executive’s fleet, operating under the registration A7-TAA since its delivery from Bombardier Aerospace in May 2016. The Global 6000, known for its long-range capabilities and luxurious accommodations, has since been utilized by Georgian Airways to conduct a variety of charter flights. These flights span across Georgia, mainland Europe, and the Middle East, serving the diverse travel needs of its VIP clientele.

Complementing this latest addition, Georgian Airways’ VIP fleet already includes a 14-seater Challenger 850. Although this aircraft is owned and managed by the Georgian government, it is operated on behalf of Georgian Airways by Airzena, showcasing a collaborative effort to provide premium air travel services.

On the scheduled passenger flight front, Georgian Airways maintains a robust mainline fleet. This includes two in-house B737-700s, two in-house B737-800s, alongside a B737-500 that is wet-leased from Air Dilijans, and a CRJ200 wet-leased from Airzena. The expansion of its VIP fleet with the Global 6000 aircraft not only underscores Georgian Airways’ dedication to excellence in aviation but also enhances its capability to offer unmatched luxury and convenience to its passengers.

This move aligns with Georgian Airways’ strategic vision to diversify its service offerings and cement its position as a leading provider of both scheduled and charter flight services in the region. By continually upgrading and expanding its fleet, Georgian Airways is poised to meet the evolving demands of the global travel market, delivering exceptional experiences to passengers across all its routes.
