Emirates has announced strategic changes within its commercial teams across Europe, Africa, and East Asia, aiming to bolster its growth trajectory and enhance market presence. This reshuffling emphasizes the airline’s commitment to nurturing UAE National talent and positioning them in pivotal roles within key markets.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, highlighted the initiative’s focus on leadership development. “We are dedicated to the progression of Emirati talent, preparing them to lead and tackle the dynamic challenges of the aviation industry. The latest appointments are set to empower these future leaders, enabling them to drive growth and navigate the complexities of their respective markets effectively,” he stated.

The newly appointed team members are poised to leverage their skills and experiences to support Emirates’ ongoing and future strategies. The placements are as follows:

  • Mohammed Alqassim, former Country Manager for Cyprus, will now lead operations in Cambodia.
  • Ahmad Tamim moves from his role as Country Manager in Ivory Coast to take up the same position in Cyprus.
  • Adnan Almarzooqi advances from Commercial Support Manager in South Africa to Country Manager in Ivory Coast.
  • Mohamed Taher steps up from Commercial Support Manager in Egypt to become Manager in Uganda.
  • Sultan Alriyami transitions from Manager in Taiwan to Area Manager in Hong Kong.
  • Nasser Bahlooq, previously Area Manager in Hong Kong, will now manage operations in Taiwan.

These appointments are effective immediately, illustrating Emirates’ proactive approach in adapting to global market conditions and enhancing its leadership structure to support its expansive network operations.
