Kazakhstan-based cargo operator AlphaSky is set to enhance its fleet capabilities with the addition of a Boeing 757-200(F) in early April, marking a significant expansion of its freight services. The carrier has already begun promoting the upcoming freighter’s availability through its social media channels, indicating a strategic move to bolster its air transportation offerings, which currently include operations with a Boeing 737-400(F).

While specific details about the aircraft’s registration or manufacturing serial number remain undisclosed, reports suggest that the first 757-200(PCF) to join AlphaSky is presently stationed at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen. This aircraft, last active in May 2023, was initially associated with FarCargo, a Faroese virtual carrier. Despite being adorned with FarCargo’s livery for its inaugural commercial flight, the operation was conducted by West Atlantic Sweden using a different aircraft, due to certification constraints at Faroe Islands Vágar airport for 757 operations.

In addition to the imminent arrival of the 757 freighter, AlphaSky has ambitious plans to further expand its fleet with two 767-300Fs. This expansion aims to establish scheduled freighter services connecting Kazakhstan with the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the carrier’s commitment to growing its presence in the international cargo market.

As AlphaSky prepares to welcome the new additions to its fleet, the airline continues to operate its sole 737-400(F), which joined the fleet in July 2023. The introduction of the 757 and planned 767 freighters will significantly enhance AlphaSky’s operational capabilities, allowing the carrier to offer a wider range of air freight services and strengthen its position in the competitive cargo sector.

AlphaSky’s expansion efforts reflect the increasing demand for cargo transportation solutions and the carrier’s strategy to capitalize on emerging market opportunities. As the airline progresses with its fleet enhancement plans, further details regarding the 757 and 767 freighters are eagerly anticipated by the aviation and logistics communities.
