In the week commencing January 3, 2024, the aviation industry saw several significant developments:

Emirates Airline is set to boost its Seoul operations with three extra weekly flights from Feb. 19, utilizing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This expansion will add over 1,000 seats weekly between Dubai and Seoul.

JetBlue Airways has commenced daily flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Tallahassee International Airport using Airbus A320 aircraft, enhancing connectivity within Florida.

flynas, a Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier, has launched a new domestic route between Damman and Hail, operating four times weekly with Airbus A320neo aircraft.

New Pacific Airlines, a U.S. startup, has halted its bi-weekly flights to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport from Ontario, California, due to ground delays at LAS.

Jet2.com, a UK leisure carrier, plans its largest summer schedule from Manchester Airport, offering 3.8 million seats, an increase of approximately 100,000 seats from the previous summer.

Zipair Tokyo, a Japanese low-cost carrier, will introduce its first Canadian destination, Vancouver, from Tokyo Narita International Airport starting March 13. The thrice-weekly service will use Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
