Abercrombie & Kent is expanding its luxury travel offerings with the introduction of a new riverboat in Peru, set to launch in April 2025. This marks the company’s first foray into South American waters and promises to elevate the river cruising experience in the region.

Dubbed a “floating boutique hotel,” the yet-to-be-named vessel will feature a remarkable 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio, ensuring personalized service and attention to detail. The riverboat will accommodate guests in 10 double cabins and two single cabins, all equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize views of the Amazon’s breathtaking landscapes.

The vessel will embark on three- and four-night cruises, with options to combine these into extended seven-night voyages along the Marañon and Ucayali rivers. These itineraries are designed to immerse travelers in the untamed beauty and diverse cultures of the Amazon, with a particular focus on exploring the biodiverse Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.

Abercrombie & Kent’s new riverboat will offer not only luxurious accommodations but also a host of amenities designed to enrich the guest experience. The onboard restaurant will feature a menu that celebrates the Amazonian culture with dishes made from local ingredients. Additional facilities include indoor and al fresco lounge and bar areas, an outdoor pool, a massage room, and a gym.

Cristina Levis, CEO of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture: “The launch of this new riverboat marks a momentous chapter for Abercrombie & Kent. This venture embodies our unwavering commitment to delivering experiences that are not only luxurious but also deeply enriching and sustainable.”

The riverboat’s base of operations will be in Nauta, conveniently close to Iquitos where the nearest airport is located, facilitating easy access for international travelers. Bookings for the new itineraries will open in June, offering guests the opportunity to be among the first to experience this unique blend of luxury and adventure in the heart of the Amazon.
