Aeronaves TSM (VTM, Saltillo) is set to significantly increase its fleet of Boeing dedicated freighters after it ordered four incremental B737-400(SF)s from Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI). The order follows a deal with AEI from November 2020, which covered two B737-400(SF)s. AEI said that the identity of the four newly ordered aircraft, as well as the delivery timeline, had yet to be announced. Conversion will be executed by Commercial Jet at Dothan, AL. The first of the two B737s ordered earlier, msn 28150, is already undergoing conversion. The ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows that Aeronaves TSM will also take B737-400s msn 24904 and 26529. The Mexican cargo specialist operates a fleet of one CRJ100, two CRJ100ER(F)s, five CRJ200ER(F)s, one CRJ200LR(F), three DC-9-10Fs, three DC-9-30(CF)s, two DC-9-30Fs, three DC-9-30RCs, four MD-82(SF)s, and ten MD-83(SF)s, as well as one Hawker 700 and four Citation II business jets. Last year, Aeronaves TSM became the Mexican airline partner of Latin American e-commerce giant Mercado Libre. The carrier will operate four freighter aircraft exclusively for the firm under the Meli Air brand.
